Hertfordshire Links Please

Hello

I am searching for Jack born 1944-45 in Hertfordshire possibly near to a Prisoner of War Camp(?)
His father was an Italian POW Ildebrando Verrusio and his Mother went by the name of "Paddy" We believe that Paddy may have been in the WAAF Medical Corps. Ildebrando was treated at Littleport Hospital for an eye injury so may have met her there. He was repatriated back to Italy at end of war. His half sister is now desperately  trying to find him or his descendants.

To this end I am trying to locate as many as possible local groups, family history clubs or anywhere I can post a booklet to/put advert in magazine etc, no matter how small. So I'd be grateful if anyone in Hertfordshire could give me any names of clubs/societies etc. I have already contacted the Hertfordshire Family History Society. Many thanks.
