Hi Morto and welcome to RootsChat....the beginner's board is a good place to start so ask a question here to get you started. When you are more confident in your research you can post on one of the boards relevant to your area of interest.
Good Luck!

Hi Morto - Welcome to Rootschat.

You won't be able to send messages to anyone until you have made three plus posts yourself.

What is it that you require help with?  If you give us a clue we can assist with putting your query in the right place.

If you know location then post on that board.

Hi Morto

You've made a good start here on the beginners board

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/beginners/

Please take a few moments to read our guidelines for posting

http://www.rootschat.com/help/posting_guide.php

and also getting the best results

http://www.rootschat.com/help/posting_best.php

Rootschat is open 24/7 worldwide so there should be someone around most times or in a couple of hours to try to help or make suggestions.

It might help if you amended your profile to include where in the world you are. It's no good us suggesting you look at something in New Zealand for example and you are in New Mexico.

Happy hunting!

Hi,

What is the message about? I may be making a HUGE assumption but the word 'lassie' is the message about Scots ancestry by any chance???

If so, or if not - click on 'home' at the top of here and scroll right down.

Click on one of the relevant counties listed under Scotland, and there you go.

If not Scotland scroll until you find somewhere that looks appropriate. If you get it wrong, I'm sure a moderator will move it to the right place.

 :)
