the 1791 entry shows the family as living in St Peter's, Carmarthen. I though your David was from Llangeler?

Llangeler is the place of birth on the census, so I assumed that this was without doubt correct. ( it's on all the census found). Grace his wife was born in Penboyr, yet they married in Llangeler church, so again I assumed that Llangeler was important to the Evans family, all children are baptised here as well, most probably I'm totally wrong.

So, probably not the baptism to Thomas & Sarah from 1791 then.

The marriage was in Penboyr parish church, David noted as of Llangeler.
Daughter Hannah was baptised in Penboyr 30 Jan 1825, David noted as butcher, address Pantycoed.
Son David baptised in Penboyr 7 Sep 1828, father David butcher and address Pantycoed.
Baptisms tended to be in the nearest parish church within a few weeks of birth.

Which tree I'm barking up I don't know but it's obviously the wrong one.
Thank you for the recent information will do my best to research them. We are down in Cardigan this week so I have to make the journey to either Carmarthen or Aberystwyth and request the pertinent archives.
I noticed that your information comes from national archives.gov. Do you find this site the best?

that's just a notice about copyright that everyone shows. The info about baptisms & marriages is a mix of FreeReg & FindmyPast.
