Possible Christening and Burial in Oare
« on: Thursday 09 August 18 23:56 BST (UK) »
Hi

Is anyone able to double check for a christening and possible burial in Oare for me?

My ancestor William Amis (or Amos) married a woman named Alice Luson on 20 September 1663 in Oare. I am trying to trace her christening and have found the following christening on FamilySearch and FindmyPast:

Alice Luson - christened 21 September 1637 - parents: Samuel and Katherine.

I did think that this could be my Alice until I found a burial on Familysearch. The problem is that the entry doesn't state the name of the parish, all it says is:

Alice Luson
Gender: Female
Burial Date: 13 Oct 1639
Death Place: Kent County, England
Marital Status: Single
Father's Name: Samuel Luson

Is anyone able to check this entry in the Oare parish registers to see if this is the Alice who was christened in 1637?

Can anyone tell me if there is any other christenings for an Alice Luson between about 1620 and 1640 ?

Many Thanks
Matt

The GHS Film Number for this entry contains info from the following Kent parishes:
Northbourne/Norton/Oare/Orlestone/Ospringe

so could be the Oare birth from 1637.
