The baptism for Mary Ann in Whitwick in 1822 is transcribed as Margaret in FindMyPast. Not very clear but could be either.

Thomas married Isabella Moor in Hull on 15th October 1819, occupation China Man (Potter in baptisms). In 1851, Thomas, china and glass dealer, born in Leicestershire - looks like Wittic - is in Dewsbury, Yorkshire, with Isabella, two  children and a grandchild.

Thomas Hudson, son of James and Mary, baptised in Whitwick on 12th October 1794.

Thanks, both.

I agree that the image of the baptismal record looks like Margaret, not Mary Ann.

You may wish you hadn't asked!
John Langton's sister, Elizabeth, is another of my direct line ancestors. She married John Jeayes (other spellings are available!) and their daughter, Sarah Ann, married Thomas Kilner and Mary Ann nee Hudson's son, Thomas.
And when Mary Ann died, Thomas snr set up with one of John and Elizabeth's sisters, Eliza, who was widowed.
The families, including Eliza's daughter Maria, share grave plots in Welford.

Thomas Kilner was born in Enderby, and there were a lot of Jayes and plenty of Langtons also in Enderby so I suspect that the families may have known each other before moving into the town.
