Hi Annie,

Had  a look at the PR's in the archives and they are very bad to read also looked at the Bishop's Transcripts which are hand written same as PR's. No marriage in 1610 for Elizabeth Collie and the one in 1698/99 just says Job Rowson and Elizabeth Collie, no Kenneson. If you want copies so you can have a look your self please let me know and I'll get them for you next week.

Puzzling that the 1610 record isn't there.

You have helped me so much NG, in the past, and my DNA results were showing up several Notts connections. So I decided to buy the complete set of records from their official source, so that I didn't have to  ask  you so much.
Will have a look later what is the earliest record on them at Greasley  for the Collie family

Cheers

Hi lemur41,

The originals records  are on microfiche at the archives as the originals are in very poor condition and are not much better on the fiches so very hard to read for both church and BT's.  If your are talking abt complete set from NFHS disc's there are lots of mistakes on them so should always check against originals and the same go's for any Transcripts that's on line.

So the 1610 marriage looks like a typo to me same day and month but wrong year. I couldn't see a Elizabeth Collie in 1610.

As I said to Annie if you want copies of the original images I'll gladly get them for you and email to you .

Hi Notts girl 1

The records I purchased are on Flashdrive, no doubt copied from the  CD's. I've just checked the Collie surname in all 3 sets for Greasley St. Mary, no baptisms, no burials, just the 3 marriages  with bride that surname. the 3rd one is November 1699 and is a Bridget Collie marrying Elisha Smith.

I've also looked for Kenneson & Rowson baptisms just in case   and there aren't any. Thanks for the offer of copies  I don't think I will need them, if they help Annie that's good
Thanks again
