There is an article in the Dundee Evening Telegraph of 14th February 1949 which tells of the Reverend George W. Abernethy spending a holiday in his native Dundee.

On his return he gave lectures to his congregation about the 'conditions on this side'.

There is also a reference to gift being sent, as a result of his lectures,  to two elderly ladies in Dundee from the Sunday School of the First Presbyterian Church, Grand Forks, North Dakota.

If this is the same person -

the 1891 census has George White Abernethy living at
29 Grove St Dundee

with:

David aged 33 - occupation Carter
Mary aged 30
Elsie aged 4
Henry aged 2
Maggie aged 8 mths.

Regards,

Lindsey

There is a tree for him at FS: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/KX31-NGN

Most all of the newspaper clippings refer to him being in Winnipeg during the mid 1930's - mid 1940's.
