Yes.  Lancs OPC & A**y both start 1889, which makes me think that earlier ones are unavailable.

I don't know if this helps from lan-opc

The first register of baptisms, to 1876, and the first register of marriages, to 1889, were not received in The Liverpool library at the time of the deposit of the other registers.

I hadn't read that bit. It would explain their absence. I suppose you should always read the small print!
