Farr-Voller
« on: Monday 13 August 18 15:23 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace my family tree. Although I live in South Yorkshire the family name originates in Hampshire. Are there any records of Farr-Voller listed prior to 1900. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Hi
I think I have a Voller from Hampshire in my tree somewhere along the line.

Is Farr-Voller a couple who married each other or is that the surname?

I can only see one Farr/Voller marriage and that's 1853 in Sussex.

Could you give an example of someone ie name and birth year who is no longer living we could trace backwards?

There was and is a Voller corset making company since the latter part of the 19th Century. They are in Portsmouth now.

I think the marriage Milly found could be a clue and that having lost his mother William that I posted 1891 census joined his parents surnames together  :-\  The 1891 gives his place of birth as Westbourne

Thank you. Farr-Voller is the surname, my late grandfather was Albert Farr-Voller who married Emma Gertrude Goode. My grandfather was born in Warblington in 1887. His father was called William and his mother wasElizabeth Ann nee Bettesworth.
