Do let us know!

Another possibility is that she was frail/ill in some way from childhood, and it was thought better for her to be brought up by family members without other children, rather than in the busy Tuckwood household.  The cause of death (among other things) will be interesting.

For my part I think it likely she was with the Carringtons earlier than 1889, having not been included in earlier Tuckwood baptisms (e.g. with Kate in 1887).  I wonder whether any Nottingham school records survive?

There’s quite a gap in births around 1881, in the otherwise fertile Tuckwood/Brooksby marriage:

Dec qtr 1875: Ada Ellen
Sep qtr 1878: Charles Edgar (died 1885)
Mar qtr 1883: Lotty
Sep qtr 1884: Kate
Mar qtr 1886: Edith
Sep qtr 1888: Walter
Dec qtr 1890: Edwin
Mar qtr 1893: Charles
Mar qtr 1895: Leonard (died 1897)
Sep qtr 1896: Claud
Jun qtr 1899: Rose

If there was a period of marital estrangement, that might have something to do with why Lotty was brought up by relatives.  Perhaps, though this can only be speculation, she was conceived during Charles’ absence?
I thought I had got all of those, Ladyhawk :)

Apologies avm228 - you certainly did I should have looked more closely  :)
