Jim1 - Yes it was 1918..

MaxD - He married Lucy Edith Oakes in 1913.. just checked my ancestry and yes there were in fact two births, my gt aunt in Feb 1915 and gt uncle in Dec 1916.  I do actually have both birth certificates and no mention of service.

With no service record or any indication other than the 1918 AV list it's impossible to say with any certainty which James Walton he is.
The only other place you will find information is on his medals.

Sadly this may be a lost cause as we don't have any medals :(. No-one knew anything of his service until we saw this electoral roll... I guess they could have made a mistake on the list?  Appreciate everyones input however.
