She is Helen in 1939 register and Helen E on her death. I wonder if the ‘E’ is Ellen as an alternative.

Is there a different address for her on her marriage? (Not the same as her husband’s).
Who were the witnesses to the marriage? Any Monaghans?

Hmmm maybe, a few other points ...I've just checked the Wolverhampton workhouse birth cert I have. Date of birth is 31 may 1893... Exactly the same as 1939 reg.

She has to be somewhere in 1911!! Lol

Throws this in too, tho this is a very wide shot ...
Her youngest sister (my nab)... Told my mom 'you have an aunty in America' .... I've never found that aunt.... Maybe...?

But I doubt Ellen would have gone to America as the family knew of her life in Northumberland..(so only possibility of this fabled aunt in America must be the wife of the eldest brother, William, as he's the only other 'missing' sibling)

Ellen and Helen are interchangeable so not surprised to find her under both names  ;)
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
