The above was the son of Charles Albert and Emma Ann nee Davies; he married May Howarth(b Q2 1904 Fylde) Q3 1924 at Fylde, they had a child b Q1 1929 but everyone vanishes after that?

I can only see one birth reg in 1901 for a Thomas C Eastwood which is the one you are looking for. 
I suggest it may have been registered in the quarter following his birth

I presume the child you mention was Eileen I believe she may have had a sister Gladys born earlier in 1924 in Haslingden. Both married there 1945 & 1951.
