Hi,
I think you might be talking about my grandfather who lived in Belize city. He fought in WW1 was shot, survived and given a purple heart and other medals; along with a letter by her majesty Queen Elizabeth11 for his service.

My mother is Beverly R. Swasey (https://ambergriscaye.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/528687/trailblazing-women-of-belize.html) ...her sisters are Rosalie, Marie, Merna, and Salome. Salome did marry O'keefe and left Belize. ..this blog might solve that mystery.

Hi Arobby

It was great to hear from you!  That sounds like the same one and so Salome would be your aunt. I had found that article about your mum and wondered if she was a relative.  I have also found a document which suggests your grandfather travelled to Baltimore, USA in 1956 - would that be him?

I will email you later today as easier to share information there.

Again thanks

Tony

PS probably better to edit your post and take your email address out as you may get lots of spam.  I have got it and will send you a quick email now with my email address.
