Where is St Nicholas please?
« on: Sunday 19 August 18 12:26 BST (UK) »
Frederick MILLHOUSE & Ann Elizabeth HAWKSLEY married in 1877 at the Register Office.  Their marriage was included in the Stamford Mercury 23 February 1877.

The record notes that both Frederick & Ann were of St Nicholas'.

The registration of their marriage was in the district of Lincoln [Volume: 7A; Volume as transcribed: 7A; Page number: 697]

What is the correct way to record the location of their marriage and their abode please?  Is it Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England [marriage] and abode Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England Parish of st Nicholas? Or is St Nicholas a village or town?

You record it as St. Nicholas, Lincoln, Lincolnshire (it's a church in Lincoln).

St Nicholas, was a parish in Lincoln see http://www.stnicholaslincoln.org.uk/history/page1/
There is a map of the parish at https://www.familysearch.org/mapp/ under Lincoln.

But they were married at the Register Office.  SO surely the Parish is irrelevant.
