Hi all

Thank you very much for these bits of information. Looks like they're the ones I'm looking for. I'm trying to find more about the Flynn lineage (martin Flynn) who was a carpenter. I'm trying to find his mum and dad.

Any further help would be appreciate (I'm still a novice at this work)

Thank you

Gaffy has already posted the most likely marriage for Martin Flynn and Catherine McDermot but you need the birth cert first to be sure of William's mother's name.
Otherwise you might end up following the wrong family.

Hi again

I'm trying to find the birth of William Flynn but I can't find it? I only have his marriage cert from uk which shows dads name only Martin Flynn carpenter but not his mums

Any help again would be appreciated for Williams birth ? By his age on marriage cert (40 in 1958)I presume he's born c 1918

Thank you

If your looking on Irish Genealogy it won't be there. Only births up to 1916 at the moment. 1917 should be added later this year.
You can try Family Search but it will only be the index.
The civil registration births index shows a William Flynn birth registered in Mountmellick district in Jan-Feb-Mar 1918, volume 3 page 329, mother's surname McDermott.

The following folk might be a possibility:

Edited to add:

... I got the marriage cert- ...

What occupation was given for William's father in his marriage registration?
