Daisy Maud Barker
« on: Wednesday 22 August 18 11:34 BST (UK) »
Daisy Barker was born c1889 to Fisk Robert & Eliza Barker. In 1901 she was living with her parents in Chequer Lane Impington. A note in a local history publication states that her brother, Oliver William Barker (1886), emigrated to Winnipeg, although I don't have any details.

Can anyone see details of Daisy Barker after 1901?

Bob

A possible marriage worth looking deeper into:

24thApril 1912
Parish Church, Hendon
Horace Waters, 23, clerk, bachelor, of 12 Eaton Rd, father Arthur Waters, Police constable
to
Daisy Maude Barker, 23, spinster, 1 Brent Terrace, father Robert Barker, Bricklayer
witnesses: L Hine-Judd?, Joseph W Ringe?

Full 1911 look ups aren't allowed, I am afraid. But it looks as if Dad uses name Robert. And there is certainly a possble Daisy Barker in Hendon.

Thanks. I found Daisy living in Brent St Hendon 1911 & also Horace Waters, Eaton Rd Hendon.
Oliver W Barker Canadian 148th Battalion - Lieutenant. (local village history record)

Can't find Daisy & Horace in 1939, but I think you are correct in that Horace and Daisy both died in Cambridge. Not too many people called Daisy Maud & Horace born around 1888. I couldn't see any children for them. Did Oliver have children? and when/where did he die.

Thanks again for your help

Bob

Is it possible that Elizabeth F Gawthrop living near Cambridge in 1901 is Oliver's wife?
