Just to add there is a John J Crisp in London in 1871 1861 but he was born in St Martins, Perthshire, Scotland.   RG09 /58 f75 p35 that is why I am trying your JJC down

His parents are
Marriages Dec qtr 1847
Crisp    John
Lumley  Charlotte
Newington    4   401

Don't  know how they transcribed place of birth as Scotland it is clearly St Martin, Westminster
