Passenger List - Sultana 1866 - London to Qld

I would appreciate some assistance with locating a passenger list for the Sultana which docked in Wide Bay Qld in 1866.

Does anyone have a copy of "They Came Direct: Sultana 1866" by Eileen Johnson, which I presume contains the names of passengers?

I am looking for the Allbon (various spelling) family who, according to one source, arrived on the Sultana. Names are Samuel John Barltrop Allbon and his wife Elizabeth Jane, and I am hoping for a child or two as well.

I can't see them on Ancestry's Qld passenger list or on the Qld State Archives Assisted Immigrants list.

I'm afraid I can't help with the book you mention, but there is a book you can read on FamilySearch.org called 'Tall ships on the river : Sultana voyages, 1848-1866'.

It does mention Samuel J B Allbon in the book - he was the schoolmaster on the voyage, so he was on that ship !

Three deaths that occurred on the voyage were a F Albon, Frederick Albon and a R J Albon -

Edit: there does appear to be a comprehensive list of all passengers that sailed with the Sultana in the book, only Samuel appears to have survived, although from looking at various sources he went on to have children in Australia with his wife.

Did he marry in Islington 1857 to Elizabeth Jane Coleman?

If so you can check for births on the GRO register using mothers maiden name to see if they had any children before they sailed.

There's a Harry George Allbon born Islington Mar 1863 mothers name Coleman so hope he is one of yours.

And a Sidney Herbert Allbon born Islington Sep 1861 mothers name Coleman.

He was in Qld by 1868.

The only other Allbon births to 1918:

Yes, this is the correct family. I have the marriage and some of their history before and after immigration.

I was interested in the passengers in order to find out the names of the Allbon children.

I am specifically looking for Elizabeth Hattie (possibly short for Hatfield) Allbon. She married Herbert Frederick Wilkins in 1888 in Maitland district NSW. She died in Brisbane in 1960.

I have not been able to find a birth for her in NSW or QLD or in the UK. It is the search for her date and place of birth that triggered this question.

Added: Yes, thanks Jamjar. I have quite a lot of information about Samuel Allbon and Elizabeth Coleman. I am now on the hunt for the birth of their daughter Elizabeth.

(I have found a few mentions of Samuel in Trove - none of them good) 

A couple of online trees are suggesting that Elizabeth was born in 1871 but no further details or sources given. Presumably this is a calculation from age given as 89 when she died in 1960.
