Request for help with a 1921 marriage please...

 Hello folks. I am attempting to find the following couple, FRANK GLEDHILL & LIILIAN SPENCER. There is a marriage: June Qtr 1921 Wellingboro 3b 289 with names that match & this would fit in with the birth of their son in 1924. To trace them back further I really need to find their fathers names on the marriage certificate if this is possible. I am having difficulty finding Northants records on line that matches the date of this marriage. Any advice will be much appreciated.

To look up a marriage in parish records you have to know which church it took place in.  It could have been a civil marriage which can't be looked up

Is that the birth in Barnsley?

I think you will need to buy a copy of that marriage cert.  A pdf copy is only around £6+

Do you know where and when either Frank or Lilian died?  Their ages would possibly give a clue to their births.  Gledhill seems to be a Yorkshire surname

Have you found them on the 1939 register as that would (hopefully) give their full birthdates

Hello Carole, I didn't have much luck finding MY couple on the 1939 in Barnsley (although there is  one family with matching names would you believe) but they were both born in 1913 so not the ones I needed. But... just this minute I have found them as PLEDHILL living in Coventry in 1939 & of course I now have their DOB which will be useful carrying me further with my search.
