Chicago, Illinois - 1920 Will - and missing person. HELP!
« on: Monday 27 August 18 06:10 BST (UK) »
Mary GRANT died 11th August 1920 in Chicago.
I have copies of the Executor's Bond, oath and letters testamentary.

One of the Executor's named was Alexander O Grant residing at 4351 N Ashland Ave, Chicago (dated 15th Nov 1920) and I am hoping that he was her brother. But I can't find him anywhere!  :'(

I've looked in the census records on familysearch but he doesn't show up.

So - two things. How can I get a copy of Mary Grant's actual will? And secondly, can anyone help with further information with regards to Alexander O Grant.

Can't help with the will, but if you give us some possible  dates of birth for Mary and Alexander and where they were born, it might help in tracking Alexander.

Hi all I think this is the death for Mary Grant 11 August 1920 Chicago Cook Illinois
Mary Grant birth place Scotland 1842 age 78 years
Retired ...Single
Burial date 14 August 1920
Burial place MT Olivet
Street address 6344 University Avenue 7th Ward ..

There is also a record on www.findagrave.com for a Mary Grant although the death date is out by one day but same place
Cemetery Braemar Graveyard looks like her name might have been added to a grave stone sister of Isabella

Isabella Grant died 17  March  1879 age 22 years think the parents of this family could be John and Jane Grant living in Aberfeldy Perthshire
