Quarryburn, Hunwick

Travelling from Bishop Auckland almost through Hunwick take a left turn travel for approx 1 mile and you come to the hamlet that was Quarryburn.
It consisted of 6/8 houses on the right hand side of the road, I believe there was something like a farm house on the left.
The houses were cleared in about 1952/53 the houses were demolished all the occupants being re housed as they had been condemned.
