John Dixon - Gateshead

Looking for John Dixon's family.

He was born in Gateshead on the 14th August 1905, father was John Dixon (a plaster), who was deceased at the time of John's marriage in 1929 to Catherine Collins. Witnesses at the marriage were two of Catherine's siblings.

John's mother died whilst he was young too, making his family harder to trace.

I do know that he had three brothers, George, Albert and Thomas, and one sister (name unknown).

George may have been George William Dixon, born 22nd February 1894.

Can anybody find any of the family in 1901?

There was no registration of a John Dixon in Gateshead in the Sep ¼ 1905
The is the birth of a John Robert Dixon which was registered in Gateshead Dec ¼ 1905 mothers maiden surname Somerville. The marriage of Frank Dixon and Jane Somerville was in 1902, so not your John.

How sure are you of his birth date? The birth of a John Dixon was registered  in Gateshead June ¼ 1905, mothers maiden name Copeland.

Hi All

The date of birth I am using was taken from the 1939 register, it may not be completely accurate as I know that there has been errors on the register.

I can't find any of the family in 1911 - John gave his address as South Street, Gateshead in 1929 when he married.

His brother, George, also had a plastering business, if that helps! He was still in Gateshead at the time of the register.
