Hello Osprey,, I do have all the information on the MELLINS in the neath area but can`t find that Samuels b1779 m 1806 to Sarah Edwards in St Thomas`s church Neath birth records but Annette found a marriage for a James Mellin to  Jane Peploe in Bristol which might be his parents,  and there was a death in 1773 of a Samuel peploe mellin I wonder if this has been recorded as a death instead of a birth? over the years of research I have found that some vicars put birth and deaths on the same page in the register many thanks Margaret.

As Capetown said, the records are on FamilySearch and you would need to check the originals for extra info. The records are from the time when it wasn't unusual for baptisms & births to be recorded on the same page.
