I am looking information on my great grandfather Thomas Moffatt. He was born in Coleraine and married an Emily McClelland. We can find information on McClelland family and Emily and Thomas's children, as well as their marriage.  I'm having difficulty finding birth information on Thomas Moffatt. He died in 1950 aged 73.

Thank you. The Thomas Moffatt I am looking for was born in Coleraine. His father's name on a marriage certificate is Thomas.

Thomas Moffat (born 22 Oct.1870, died 5 Dec.1950) married (23 Feb.1892 Ringsend Presbyterian Church) Emily McClelland.
His father was Thomas Moffat (c1847-22 Sept.1889) of Cashel who married (6 Sept.1870 Killaig Presbyterian Church) Catherine Riddle (c1848-1 Apr.1928).
His father, also Thomas Moffat (c1804-1 Dec.1888) was a blacksmith at Craigmore.

There's a headstone at Ringsend for Thomas, Catherine & some of their daughters. I can post headstone details if you don't have them.

The information I have is from family & church records mainly. I'm not related but they are fairly easy to trace.

Ringsend Presbyterian Church: Erected by Catherine Moffatt. In loving memory of her husband Thomas Moffatt, late of Cashel, died 22 September 1889 aged 42 years. Also their daughters Annie, Sarah, Ellen Jane and Margaret. Also the above named Catherine Moffatt, who died 1st April 1928 aged 80 years.

Forgot to add that I was told Thomas Moffat (c1804-1888) might have been married to a Hill, Cashel but I haven't verified that.
