RunKitty - I'm going to have to learn to type faster - that's the second time you've beaten me to it!

So, if the 1861 Alfred C LEDELL is the right man, (living in Ontario) and Naomi (of Ontario and Alfred's eldest known child was born c1866 in Ontario then the marriage (assuming there was one) would have been between 1861 and 1866.  The censuses have Alfred as Methodist or Baptist - I don't know if that has any relevance.

 :) :) :)

If brother Levi Lambert (according to the 1901 census) was born about 1846 in Ontario.... I wonder if this could be him with his parents in 1851, Westminster, Middlesex, Ontario?  It is a possibility...

There is no Naomi Lambert with this family, but if this is her family... she could have been with other relatives in 1851???  Just guessing :)

Following up...looking for Ledell on the 1861 census
There is an Alfred C Ledell, 29, born in England, on the 1861 census in Middlesex, Ontario.   There is a Ledell family at the top of the page too.

I had a quick look for this family (Mary A 36, Margret 14 - the other children are too young) on the 1851 census in Norfolk (Margaret 3 living with grandmother Ann Thomas in Aylsham - no mother/father at that address).  Not conclusive - would need more research.

However, I did find the family of Alfred C LADELL in Erpingham (Martha 53, widow, farmer; Frederick 23 farmer's son, Alfred C 20, farmer's son, Walter E 15, farmer's son).

Aylsham is less than four miles from Erpingham and there were less than 300 LADELLs of all ages on the 1851 census in Norfolk, so I am fairly sure there is a link.

1891 census in Enniskillen, Lambton East, Ontario

http://central.bac-lac.gc.ca/.item/?app=Census1891&op=img&id=30953_148149-00386

Alfred and Naomi with sons Alfred G and William J.

Naomi gives her birth place as Ontario

RK

I see from the 1891 census that Alfred's parents are born in England and for Naomi her father was born in England and mother in Ontario.
Thanks

I have posted details of Alfred C from the 1841 and 1851 censuses, together with a possible parents' marriage, on your thread on the Norfolk board.

All the best
Philip

Naomi Lambert (1836–) married Alfred Charles Ladell in 1862. In the 1870s they lived in Warwick Twp., and eventually settled in Enniskillen Twp. Their daughter Matilda married Fred Cook of Warwick. Fred and Matilda’s son L. S. Cook owned and operated the Warwick General Store for a number of years.
