I had to turn off notifications because they had clogged up my in box with 130 emails.

At least it isn’t as bad as the British Airways cyber attack.

You might not believe this but when I turned in much earlier this morning all on home page was in Chinese characters or what appeared to be.  This has never happened to me before.

What are they trying to achieve?

It's not as if anybody reads their stupid posts ::)

I am told, by someone who should know, that they use site like ours for practice. When we hear of cyber attacks on BA it is because they have honed their skills on many sites like ours.

Sorry, I am tired.  Read Jebbers post rather than the first one - so it seems I am not the only one who has this experience.  Thought I was seeing things at first when I saw all posts were in a different script.

Ruskie's post (entries 1 & 4) are members of Tra v ian com

I've assumed that the "attacks" are attempts at DoS just because they can.

Annoying for us.
Irritating and time-wasting for Sarah & T.

I thought the same thing = practice.

Well over a decade ago when you could read the "trail" the spammers couldn't avoid - the emails I kept receiving, ostensibly from different but false email addresses, via a group on Yahoo, all stemmed from the same place.  When I looked up the address I found it was an IT college in Florida.
