Thanks for your interest.

There is nothing I can see for either of them n the 1939 register nor can I find evidence of them emigrating.

I think Frank's birth is probably the one in Northwich (June Qtr 1884), him being age 28 when he married Ada in 1912.

I'm not so sure.  As I mentioned - ages on official documents (except birth registrations) are not always reliable.

There are 20 births for Frank BEBBINGTON on FreeBMD between 1880 and 1890 - I haven't checked them all to see how many are of father William, but there are likely to be several.

I had a quick look at deaths from 1880 to 1910 and found six deaths probably matching the 20 births.

The only way to be sure is:
take a reasonable (5 years each side of the presumed birth year?) time span
check each birth to get the mother's maiden name
find a matching marriage to get the parents' first names
eliminate all those whose father is not William
eliminate those whose deaths are recorded before 1912
eliminate those who married before 1912

You may well be right about the 1884 birth, but are you 100% sure?

Hi,

Ada Badrock is on the 1939 register and living with her is Harry Bebbington!

Therefore death in 1952 appears to be the right one.

FindMyPast has a record for Frank Bebbington, No. 160997, which gives place of birth as "Over Winsford".
Winsford Parish was created 1936 out of several parishes, including "Over". Winsford falls within the Northwich Reg District.M

"Over" fell in the Northwich Reg Dist 1837-1935.

HI,

Cheshire BMD shows Frank's 1884 birth as Northwich but the sub district is actually Winsford which seems to tie in. Having checked various BMD records, as far as Ada is concerned I am fairly sure that her date of birth shown as 7 Jan 1886 in 1939 is actually 7 Jan 1880.

As a result of all your help, I feel I am getting closer to breaking this brick wall.
