Daniel Lovel Bap 14 Apr 1723
« on: Monday 10 September 18 14:26 BST (UK) »
I know baptisms this early usually only list the parents but occasionally there is additional information.

I am wondering if anyone has access to original record.

Daniel Lovel Bap 14 Apr 1723
DEERHURST,GLOUCESTER,ENGLAND
Parents Henry/Grace

Thanks in advance for any help!
Roger

There are very few entries in this Register:  Baptised the same day as Daniel LOVEL, was John son of John& Elizabeth HABORING?

Henry LOVEL on some websites is from a Travelling family.

Just above the baptism above - there is

James GLADWIN a child of Traveller from Biddiford - baptised 6 April 1722.

There are a couple of entries for burials of two men - who drowned in the lock.

So, boat people travelling up and down the River Severn.

just to recap: re baptism of James GLADDEN, a child of a Traveller from Biddeford, baptised 1 April 1722 at Deerhurst

---

? is this the same couple who had  Daniel LOVEL christened at Deerhurst, Gloucestershire 14 April 1723  (although they would have married after this baptism!!)

Henry LOVELL - Grace FOURACRES - 31 August 1726, Crediton, Devon,

Family Search...

Christening at Crediton, Devon

1 January 1730:

Edmond LOVEL - parents: Henry & Grace

6 January 1734

Grace LOVEL - parents: Henry & Grace

----

Grace LOVEL - christened 26 December 1764, Crediton, Devon : parents: Edward & Sarah

Grace LOVEL - buried 24 January 1770 - Bradford Speke, Devon  (on the River Exe)

Edmond LOVEL appears to be having children in Devon on Family Search

I kind of doubt it but it's possible.
Daniel was baptized in 1723 so it was before they were married.

Ancestry has a burial at Bristol 1 March 1737 of Grace Lovel

and marriage of

Henry LOVELL in 1744 at Saint Mary Redcliffe to Mary POWEL

and a daughter christened at Saint Mary Redcliffe

Elieza 1746

The LOVELL's appear to be up and down the River Severn
