Michael Byrne - 1826-1911 - Prospect Hill & Eyre Square
« on: Friday 14 September 18 10:39 BST (UK) »
Hello, I am looking for any information on Michael Byrne, a farmer, born around somewhere from 1826 to 1836 and died 19 Feb 1911 in his daughter's house on Eyre street. He has three daughters that I know of:

Mary Byrne born 1851-53, died 12 April 1917. Mary married John Joseph O'Sullivan, date unknown. I believe that the O'sullivans owner the American hotel on Eyre Square.

Celia Byrne born 1859-62 and died 09 December 1937. Celia married Francis Dooley on 27 November 1878

Bridget 'Delia' Byrne, my gg-grandmother, born 1855-66 and died 09 February 1949. Delia married William Allen, an RIC Constable, on 12 June 1888.

I am having trouble find any more information on either Michael's wife or any more children. I can't pin down any baptism records for the three daughters which might list the name of their mother nor can I find a marriage records for Michael.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Thank you Hallmark the quick replies!

I have the marriage certs for both Celia and Deila. There father is listed as Michael, a farmer, but no information on the mother nor his marriage status. I can not find anything for Mary.

Michael is living with his daughter Celia in 1901 and is listed as a widower, he died before the 1911 census.

Michael's death cert can be found here:

https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1911/05401/4508454.pdf

I have been checking the civil records but have come up empty so far but will keep checking!
