Douglas Pinchin married ?????? Davey
« on: Sunday 16 September 18 14:17 BST (UK) »
I have a Douglas Pinchin born 1931 Guisburgh, Yorks.    Fa Eric and Mo Eunice Taylor.    I think he married in 1951 Middlesbrough (18, 1b, 1155) to a Davey.    I cannot find her christian name at all.   There appears to be no corresponding Davey marrying a Pinchin in 1951which I find odd.   Any help, as always, much appreciated.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Looks like she has been missed off the GRO register under "Davey" and she's not under "Davy" either.

Funnily enough another branch of this family have been known as "Davy, Davey then Davies"
It looks as though his brother Eric married Gertrudes sister Elizabeth O Davey in 1946.    They both were born in Swansea with the mothers name as "Thomas".   I know that Davey and Thomas would be quite common names in Swansea ...........

thanks again
