Can't seem to find him on the 1930 census ...but there is a death for a Robert Kelley 17/10/1926
Alameda California age 50 birth year out by 2 years

Distinct possibility Rosie....This  changing name from Kelly to Kelley certainly complicated things and with Kelly being such a common name. (Our Kellys from Peterhead were not Irish for sure)....
As regards 1926...it could have been 1928 as 6 and 8 often get mistaken esp. gravestones...

Yes That's the correct Philip Kelly...Born David Philip Kelly 1906 and Mother was a Grant. (He was known as Philip Kelly to avoid confusion with his father David)....

Noticed on the Stone....Virginia A. Kelly...Sept 8 1911 - April 24 1998...Must be his wife.
He may have married Virginia after his father died...i.e. after 1960
