Trying to find a marriage of a Richard Saunders to an Elizabeth  ??

Possibly in Clifton about 1824 to

They had

James born 1825 Clifton gloucestershire

And Elizabeth born 1827 ish Clifton gloucestershire

What was Elizabeth who married Richards maiden name

And any other children

This information has to be treated with caution!  Given the first child appears to have been born in 1822, this 1821 marriage might be considered:

Richard Saunders, bach, otp m Elizabeth Brown, spinster, otp, 5 Dec 1821 by banns at St Mary Redcliffe, Bristol.

But there could equally be other possibles.

According to the censuses Richards wife elizabethvwas born there ??

Robert BROWN married Ann WALTERS, 29 March 1783, Monmouth St Mary's.
Robert BROWN buried 3 February 1793, Monmouth St Mary's

(no other siblings)


St Mary's Church is a short distance to the West of Tintern Abbey

No, I don't know and I really would not want to speculate.  Elizabeth and Brown are very common names.  Simply finding a possible baptism in the correct area at the correct sort of date is not enough without additional confirmation.  Its a line of enquiry worth following up for some additional information.
