No need to keep starting new topics- you can always add to an existing one (thanks to hallmark for finding at least two previous ones which may be relevant).
do you know if that 6a2r30p would show us the land on a map when we got there?I posted link for Griffith's Valuation and you can search the maps on that site
Church of Ireland ..that's protestant?Protestant churches are COI, Presbyterian, Reformed Presbyterian, Methodist, Congregationalsit, etc. Where does COI come into this now? the 1855 marriage was at Orritor Presbyterian Church and marriages usually take place in the bride's church so that would be the place to look for her family.
Is there anywhere in Tyrone I can visit or email before to see how long they rented the land or if it was a tied cottage? At that period most people were tenants. You can follow the property from the printed version of Griffith's Valuation until c1930 in the Valuation Revision Books.
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=753389.0One of your other threads shows the surname as McKenzie so you really don't have any basis for thinking that Margaret McKenny of Legnacash is the same family- remember that not household is listed in Griffith's.
My great granny MaryAnne McKinney was born in 1832 in Legnacash, Kildress,Tyrone How do you know that she was born in Legnacash? Did you assume this from her marriage certificate? Marriage residence is only where the bride and groom were living at the time of the marriage and may not be where they were born or where their families were living.
