My great granny MaryAnne McKinney was born in 1832 in Legnacash, Kildress,Tyrone she married Alexander Bell at the Orritor Presbyterian church. On her marriage cert says her dad was James McKinney.
I saw in Griffiths valuation but can't find it again..Margaret McKenny from Legnacash rented their farm?Land from William Brady. Is this my McKinney family? I don't have any other information im afraid. We go over next April on a fact finding mission, going to stay at the Belfast hotel.I don't know were to look on finding more information about this family. Please can you help?

The details omitted from your post-

Maryanne McKinney married Alexander Bell on 25 Jan.1855-https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QGV8-T3P1

Griffith's Valuation (Margaret McKenny, Legnacash) printed 1859. Margaret McKenny rented a house and land (6a2r30p) from William R.S. Brady.
http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/

Civil registration of deaths started in 1864. If that Margaret died in Cookstown registration district there are 2 possible deaths- one in 1877 (not yet online) and 1879 (in Workhouse).

Is this your Alexander & Mary Anne Bell in 1901? www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Tyrone/Tullaghoge/Roadhead/1730233
If so, I would start by tracing each of the births for their children to see if a relative might have been the informant.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thank you.Aghadowey..do you know if that 6a2r30p would show us the land on a map  when we got there?
I'm thinking that census could be them..I'll look further into their names of siblings too. Church of Ireland ..that's protestant?

Alexander Bell was born in Clare tattykee l kildress.

Is there anywhere in Tyrone I can visit or email before to see how long they rented the land or if it was a tied cottage?

Thank you all for this info
