Hi Sloe Gin,
As an extra; I have an interest in the Lambourn family from Wantage
I have looked in the Wantage records and whilst there are several Lambol/Lamball/Lamble/Lambel/Lamborn entries, the only William I can find that could be relevant  is;
William Lambol s/o John & Ann (Born 18-12) bapt. 28-2-1756.

Thanks, Alan.  It was Challow that attracted my interest because of the proximity to Wantage.  Probably no connection then.  I have the William b.1756 marrying Elizabeth Bolton in 1778 in Wantage.

Annoyingly I can't find a baptism for my Lambourn ancestor, but I'm 99% sure where he fits into the Wantage Lambourns, so I have kept a separate tree for them in the hope of further clues!
