Can anyone find the parents of Samuel Pudney born around 1825 Stisted [according to 1851 census]. In 1841 he was living in colne engaine with mary pudney b1786, essex and john pudney b1827, essex
In 1851 he was living with his wife Caroline Pudney b1826 colne engaine [nee Jarman (father in law Jonathan Jarman with them in 1871, colne engaine]

Have you got details of his marriage to Caroline, which should include paternal details?

Parents were William and Mary
He was baptised in Stisted on 23 May 1824

Thanks Mark can you tell me where you found that.

I have a few Pudneys from Stisted so i am sure Samuel and William are in my tree but i couldn't find a samuel or a william [assuming born around 1800]

A William Pudney and Mary Smith married by banns in Stisted on 16 October 1804.
