Nash
« on: Saturday 22 September 18 19:56 BST (UK) »
Mr Nash was a Jap PoW and was tortured. He returned to England and in the 1960s was a teacher in Folkestone. I know nothing at all about him apart from a probable suicide in Folkestone in the 1960s. I've tried comparing surviving PoWs with deaths in Folkestone between 1960 - 1970 without much success.

Any thoughts anyone?

Edward Nash 1911 - 1965. Captured in Far East 8th March 1942 as Gunner 1552567.
That's all I have, is there anything else?

Do you have his service record or a copy of his death certificate?

There is an entry in the National Probate Calendar for an Edward Charles Nash who died 6/12/1965 at Buckland Hospital, Dover. His address given as 23 Radnor Bridge Road, Folkestone.  Probate given to Alan Richard Brine Nash, chartered engineer.

I have over the past few days accumulated a mass of information on this man, but nothing on his father who was apparently captured during WW2. I don't know in what circumstances or whether he was in the military. Can anybody help?
