I thought you had been looking for the names of the parents, which I have given in my earlier replies?

It's rather coincidental that the home address of the two Nash baptisms I've quoted is also Gordon Avenue, St Margarets!

I was thrown by the report in the Surrey Advertiser of 10.04.1943 which mentions E C Nash eldest son of Mrs A Nash of 'Redmayne', Between Street, Cobham.

I think, if you check, you will find that this is where Ethel Nash and an Alan R B Nash are living in 1939.

In 1911 (from free Index) Archibald's place of birth is Hastings.

There is this prisoner of War card:

Archibald Nash, date of birth 5th December 1882.
Captain Dockyard Defence Corps.
Place of origin: 47 St Mary's Terrace, Hastings, Sussex.
Destination of report: son, Lt Frank John Archibald Nash, c/o Admiralty

Another set of papers gives date of capture 25th December 1941, date of release

It states that his father's name is Alan, certainly. But not that his address was Gordon Avenue. What it actually says is that Edward Charles was born at Gordon Avenue, which fits exactly with the address of the 1911 baptism in reply #18. It also states that his mothers name was Ethel Elizabeth Nash, of Redwayne, Between Streets, Cobham, which is where Ethel and son Alan appear to have been living in 1939.
