Have you got their The Hague family card yet (English research says that they are census documents, but they are not snap shots, bit more ongoing doco)?

Here's a very rough outline to start with (It is far from complete and I've thrown it together very quickly so there could be some small errors). I'm still not sure who was having issues with the German occupiers, but that can be looked at later ... At least you've got some names now.

Hendrik Leendert de Bie b 27-4-1866 Voorburg (ZH), d 02-09-1945 Almkerk (NB) (s of Anthonij Willem de Bie & Maria Johanna de Zwart)
X#1 07-03-1888 to Hendrika Beijersbergen b 12-9-1863, d 17-02-1920  (d of Johannes Albertus Beijersbergen, a gardener & Aleida van Zijl)
X#2 15-12-1920 Anna Vos b 25-4-1877 Woudichem (d of Govert Vos & Cornelia Ouwerkerk)

Children
(Note: I realised that various births seemed to be missing from the index. I'm not sure what is going on there, but I found them via family cards and marriages instead)

Antonij Willem de Bie b 20-06-1888, d 1-6-1918
X17-1-1912 to Alida Adriana Helena Storm b 18-7-1887 (d of Barend Arnoldus Storm & Alida Parlevliet)

X 06-12-1911 Alida Hendrika Leenheer

Do you know whether she would have survived WW2?

I don't think so as she was never mentioned after that in other letters from the family.

Probably preaching to the converted but The Hague (in English) is Den Haag in Dutch; and more formally 's Gravenhage ;D
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

I've gone through the names on the Dutch war victim site, but got nada ... even tried the kids of the 2 guys who both got married in 1911, but no obvious hits either ...

We'll need more direction as this is a wild goose chase...
