In 1881 at Ref Piece: 4419; Folio: 12; Page: 18; I have a Mary Jane Briggs (ne Cook).

Ancestry has interpreted her birth place as "Ham Cruso".

Can anybody help?

On the 1881 census - Yorkshire

M Jane BRIGGS is aged 25

Living with this couple is Mary Jane's sister, Emily COOK - unmarried aged 20 - born Gloucester, Kemble -

Will just have to follow back through the census returns.

From 1861 looks like Ampney Crucis near Cirencester.

First time I did it couldn't find Mary J or Emily. Should have looked harder  ::) :P ::)
