Look up for marriage details please

I have John Hutchinson born 1653 in parish of Plumtree with four children John, Elizabeth, Edward and Gertrude, but can find no marriage record.  I realise he may not have married but could somebody check to see if you can find anything please.  Any help would be appreciated

Marriages normally take place in the parish of the bride.

Could you please give dates of birth/baptism of first child and the name of his wife

How do you know he was born in Plumtree.

I received all the information from the Bunny Family History people as the Hutchinson family were resident there for about 100 years.


I have John do Christening 1682
Elizabeth do christening 26 June 1685 Plumtree
Edward do Christening 1687
and Gertrude do Christening 1 June 1690 Plumtree

Have just checked IGI and christening details confirmed for Elizabeth and Gartrude  John named as father but no Mother mentioned

On the NFHS database and the Plumtree church website has the christening for the above children of John but say's place of abode is Clipston, which is a very small village about 2 miles from plumtree.

Thanks for the link, I have had a look and it has already proved helpful with a few more of my rellies mentioned and it is specific enough to match up some marriages, Unfortunately with my current problem I do not know the brides name although there are a few John Hutchinsons listed.  I will send an Email and hopefully they can supply a bit more detail to enable me to match up the right bride and groom.

Glad the link was of use to you.  Have looked though the NFHS database and cannot see a marriage anywhere in Notitnghamshire for John but then it does not cover all places and years.

Thank you for that there are three entries on the Plumtree database but years are all wrong 1761,1775 and 1780, but I have sent an Email hoping they may be able to help
