I was thinking that the one that died was a family member of Albert Henry and like you say for his father would have to keep up the pretence to father to get his effects so I will have a good look at the rest of the family.

Hi

Just looked into Charles Norman George Tolhurst and it looks like you are spot on Debra. I was originally thinking younger sibling but your theory made more sense.
I have check his younger brothers and I have ruled them out, all survived the was.
I have contacted someone with a tree on ancestry that looked well researched and let them have the findings so they can make their own conclusions and I will let the WW1 website know the finds also.
