FindMyPast media files in trees
« on: Tuesday 25 September 18 14:44 BST (UK) »
I was hoping to use a FindMyPast tree as a means of collaborating with someone else, but I've hit a big snag.

They provide a way to upload "media" - actually only pictures - and attach them to events in a tree.

However, they don't provide any method of viewing the pictures once you have uploaded them. You can see a thumbnail version, but any text is extremely likely to be unreadable. There is no Download either.

I logged a fault, but their reply indicates that there is no fix forthcoming.

So I must urge people not to rely on FindMyPast to hold your document images!
