Letters after name

Hi,
Does anyone know what WBCM means after a name?  I think the person concerned was a doctor.
He died in 1916, so I guess this is an old use of letters?

Where have you seen these letters,on what sort of document?

Are you sure that those are the letters?  Could they be badly written. I'd expect the first letter to possibly be an M if it was a medical qualification.

UK Lancashire. Could be a misreading - the information was provided by cemsearch. Maybe I need to shedule a visit to Preston cemetery!

Maybe MDCM:

MDCM is an abbreviation of the Latin Medicinae Doctor et Chirurgiae Magister, which means "doctor of medicine and master of surgery."
