Ellen Hutson
« on: Thursday 27 September 18 09:41 BST (UK) »
Does anybody have the births for Norfolk. I am looking for the birth of Ellen Hutson 1886. Her father was apparently James and mother was Mary Ann (nee Wells.) I have her in 1891 census as grandaughter to John Hutson and in 1901 as a visitor to Amelia Early who was her sister if John (james) was her father.  Rather complicated I know!!

Hello,

I can’t find Ellen as granddaughter in 1891.
If I have the right family (transcribed as Hutton) she is with her parents in 1891.
Family Search only shows  because they are on separate pages  :-\

There is also
Ellen 5 yrs
Bertie 3 yrs
Francis 4 months

I notice that Ellen is recorded as Hudson on 1891/1901 census. I think you will find that she is with John & Mary on both censuses. Age 4 & 14 born Gateley, Norfolk.

Therefore Ellen Hudson 01/1887  Mitford Norfolk

Married as Hutson Q2/1905 Norwich to Charles Bowthorpe?

The 1911 census shows Mary Ann Hutson with her

Must be two different families as I have the same one as Heywood transcribed as Hutton  :-\

She has a sister Amelia age 16 in 1891 when Ellen is 5 so if the married Amelia in 1901 is correct (when Ellen is a visitor) this should be the correct family?

Amelia Elizabeth Hutson marries William Earley 16 Dec 1894.

Amelia Elizabeth Hutson birth Dec 1875 Norwich mothers name Wells same as Ellen Mar 1886
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

Ellen Hudson baptised Norwich 25 Feb 1887 mother Emma (no father named)

I think Emma Matilda Hudson was the daughter of John Hudson  & Mary Ann Lunness born 1868. Emma later married William Hunt in 1896.

Thanks to everyone who replied on Ellen Hutson. She was indeed with the family transcribed as Hutton.  I can now go forward from there.  You are all amazing people and what a fantastic site. Thanks to all who have helped me over the past weeks with Fleetwood and Bowthorpe.
