When you consider it's an autosomal test with probably the most detailed regional ethnicity map (based, and built on, the People of the British Isles study data), plus a Y-DNA haplogroup and mitochondrial DNA test, it's a bargain really. The most basic Y-DNA and mtDNA tests at FamilyTreeDNA would set you back $260 i.e. £200 excluding postage.

Thanks for the link Melba.  I have a lot of new reading and experimentation to do.  I have been concentrating on autosomal DNA so far.
