Just to say that the Edward
Nolan/Anastasia famil referred to earlier were having children before 1880s in Landscape and  Oldcourt. Edward’s  death was recorded in Oldcourt.
These places are often difficult to ‘google’ I have found but here is the right area.

https://www.townlands.ie/en/wexford/oldcourt/

It is closer to New Ross but sufficiently close to Ballymona.

There is a John Nolan 16 yrs, servant, in the right area here

It might be worth more exploration.

Thanks for all of your sterling work.
I based Wexford on the application John Joseph made for american naturalisation. Also Ballykelly (I accept that this is now wrong) turned out to near Suttons Parish ,New Ross,  where PC Michael Rice declared on his police application, that he was born.
The only 1911 Wales Census that I have been able to call up on my computer is the summary version, and that does not mention Waterford.
Because of your help it has started me questioning everything. John Joseph is down on his Death registration as having a DOB  -/3/1887
When working on the railway its       14/6/1885 : 8/3/1888
The 1939 registry it's                      15/3/1888
USA Naturalisation it's                     10/3/1885.
John Joseph also states 31 days in June and September, on the last 2 above!!
I have spent the best part of 2 hours this pm trying to check on a J. Nolan shown on the 1991 Wales Census summary as living in Abercarn. Just to make sure I have not missed anything, and to try not to waste peoples time. I will attempt to post the Naturalisation application after this.

The month of March seems to be the favourite.
How sure are you that is him in the US naturalisation?
Have you tried checking the Boston address in 1910 census for any possible relative? I don’t know if that is possible though.
Any passenger lists available for that ship?
