Hi Tom,

I've just checked Plumtree database and the marriage is there on page 8:

02 November 1639   Hutchinson   Thomas      Humbarstone   Elnar

Some times it best just to go though the database page by page clicking each page number until the date you are looking for, if that makes sense.

The FHS cd that I have has loads of info, but it's not fully comprehensive _ though given that it does have Plumtree  weddings, I don't know why it's missing this one.

hi,

It's on my NFHS disc but date is down as 2 Nov 1639 and on the Keyworth web site it's down as 29 Oct 1639.  When I'm next in Nottingham archives I'll have a look to see if it's on their fiches and readable to get the right date.

Thanks everybody for so much help.

Nottsgirl I am a bit confused about which entry you are checking on the fiche I don't want you to spend time on the wrong one.
Just to confirm I need info on Thomas Hutchinson and Ellin Chamberlane marriage at Plumtree 27 Nov 1639.  Not Thomas and Elnar Humberstone

After info from Rosie I checked and confirmed the record exists in Plumtree Marriages on Family Search web site.

What other info would be on the fiche Parents namesperhaps?

Marriages at that time are probably just a line in the register ie John Smith & Mary Brown 1st April 1635, no other information

Yes Rosie is right just names will be on fiche but will (if readable) will confirm names and dates and as we have two dates in same month and year it's no problem to check. You have to remember  that most of Family search are just transcripts or submitted by other researchers  you have to check the actual records, there are a lot of mistakes on any transcripts you find on the internet.
