I’d be grateful for help following the Thompson line back further please - any help or tips will be really appreciated.

Have you followed back earlier census' for an average birth yr/consistency on where born etc?

Do you have the fathers name & occ. from the marriage?

This looks to be an error & should read mother or mother-in-law?

So 'Smith, Margaret  Grandmother  Widow  F  60  b Yorkshire' is M-i-L

Wasn't sure if 'mother' had remarried but her age made her too young to be the g/mother of 'Head' of house.
